Fresno State, who currently sits in 2nd place in their MWC division. I was quite surprised at the athletic disparity. Fresno State had a really good record last year. The Utes have better athletes than in their days in the MWC. Anyone who has watched 1 Ute game knows this is true. The gap between the P5s and G5s is wider than ever before. With the big money changes starting next year the talent gap will widen dramatically and it could become physically dangerous for lower level teams to play P5s. In 5-10 years they may stop playing each other entirely. MWC schools will be debating the option to cancel their programs like Alabama Birmingham right now and UNLV that lost $35M last year.
