Watching the 30 for 30 "Rand University" about Randy Moss.
Based on the information they provide in the documentary it appears that 18 or 19 yr old Randy Moss was put in jail for breaking his probation by smoking some marijuana. Wow! That's ridiculous. Because of this offense he lost his 2nd Div 1 scholarship in less than a year to Florida State.

America is a wonderful place but for how much we boast about freedom and as Mormons how much we preach about agency, it seems pretty darn hypocritical to punish a young man for some petty crimes like that.

I'm all for punishment. But punishment should always fit the crime. I don't care what side of the debate you're on, if someone wants to smoke marijuana on their own time and in their own privacy they should be able to in a "Free" country.
