Since the tournament was expanded in '85 we have one sweet 16 appearance
Rose getting one in ten years is the outlier, not a shortfall. Since '71 we have made two appearances, the two years we had Ainge and Fredette as seniors. Any time we make the sweet 16 it should be considered a massive achievement.
