We are who we are. We'll have a special season every decade or so (see Ainge, Fredette, and hopefully LP Trio senior year), most years will be a bubble tourney type team. Style of play won't change that significantly as we just don't get the athletes big time programs do.

Cleveland and Schroyer had a good defensive focus and system, and we never won a tourney game, had a single digit tourney seed (Rose has 5), or beat Utah in SLC.

Our ceiling is what it is, so for my taste I'd rather watch us score 85 ppg and have some really fun stretches of bball. B/c losses and frustrating bball is just inevitable as part of the BYU fan experience. I'll take the higher highs (like the 112-103 Stanford game last year...awesome).

Your comments seem completely devoid of perspective. We're lucky to be a top 40 type team nearly every year with Rose. He's maximized our resources IMO, and there's a clear step change in where the program was in the 90's to where he's taken us. And I think after next year's rebuilding effort (pending KC decision), the next 5 have potential to be really strong.
