If he's the most athletic linebacker on the team, that's a good argument for leaving him at LB.
If he's still an elite athlete for a safety, then I agree - move him. That's why I said, "I think" before. If he's just decent as a safety but great as a LB (with the added weight, of course), then I think he should play LB.
