Yeah worrying about scoring more sure does BYU and Phoenix a lot of good when it matters most. Hearing people talk about shooting as the only important thing in basketball is just silly. Scoring is more important than shooting itself. KC can't shoot, but he can score. I'd gladly add a motivated floor general to a team of shooters. Jason Kidd offered value to his team in so many ways, and it wasn't about his ability to shoot. On the list of responsibilities for PGs, shooting isn't at the top.
Little about him as a player is holding him back. He's got his attitude, but that can be controlled. His worst "stat" is some recent injuries. He's got a bad team and he's still almost averaging a triple double in the regular season. Wonder what he'll be "worth" on a good team.
You're right, you need to score more than the opponent to win. And Rondo is one of the best there is at getting and finding guys in the best situations to put the ball in the hoop.
