The people in the Big 12 know that this year is just going to happen again and again. There is a good chance that there is a 3 way tie at the top (happened a few years ago). And that is bad for the league. The committee has SAID that they value the conference champion and straight up hosed Baylor and TCU because of that mess. I think they all know that they need to expand.

One other thing I'll add. A lot of people talk about the Big 12 "looking east" when they do eventually expand. I don't buy that for a second. The Big 12 will add the teams that will bring the most MONEY with them. The whole reason that they aren't expanding today is because they don't want to lose MONEY. It's all about the Benjamin's in the Big 12. So when they are going to expand, do people really think that they will bring on 2 teams that will give the conference LESS MONEY just to make life easier for one member (WV)?? BYU brings the most MONEY and Cincinnati brings the second most MONEY. That is why those two teams will be added when they do expand. Money is the one thing that will get all 10 member institutions on the same page. Why would Texas Tech or Baylor vote in Memphis just so WV can have a travel partner?? Makes no sense.

I agree that the Big 12 knows they need to add two teams, they will do so this spring/summer. And the two teams that will be added will be BYU and Cincinnati (although I'm with nashty that I think it would be cool to bring CSU along).
