It isn't apples to apples, as the Broncos are the only game in town, pretty much throughout the state. I've mentioned the jamboree they do for the predominant youth league here. BSU gets embedded early with local football players and their families. bSU's current staff also made it a point to visit every single Idaho high school when they took the reigns. Media and locals loved it.

Bottom line--some programs are great at marketing themselves locally. I don't live in Utah, but one wonders if there's room for BYU to improve here and reap some sort of benefit.
