they lost 2 and went, generating exposure, program momentum,recruiting hype,fun for the fans to watch them play on the big stage and setting themselves up for a high preseason ranking next year. BYU on the other hand loses a game and is relegated to bowl purgatory (most likely) each year. Not to mention we have a hard time getting P5 teams to play in LES, and our home schedule suffers, but load up on P5 road games. I agree the money and the 'exposure' of playing away games against P5 would be reason to stay or that BYU is more likely get get into a P5 as an independent then it makes sense to stay Indy. I just wouldn't hold my breath for going undefeated, as only a handful of teams do it each year, and BYU has only done it once ever, and that includes playing many MWC and WAC loaded schedules.
