That's been the problem all along...no real archaeologists involved.
Griggs and his successors were from the Ancient Scripture department, not from the Archaeology department, and the work is not up to professional standards. I have contacts in the BYU Archaeology Department as well, and that's what I was told by an archaeologist who was there.
