Maybe, but Griggs was also an archaeologist with Stanford and Berkeley
credentials. He had done a gazillion digs.
Could have been a jealous colleague, IMO. Just sayin. I really don't know and your contact is prolly better connected than I.
I had Prof Griggs for a History class and friggin love the guy. Easily one of my most interesting and best profs at BYU.
