Fresno, SJSU, Nevada, and Wy all need to get dropped before even considering it.
There is way too much dead weight to carry. Schools like New Mexico with some upside are enough dead weight to carry around for one conference.
The glory days of the MWC could have become a threat to become a P5 conference is the bottom 1/3 of the conference was just respectable.
It would be better to burn the current conferences down than try to make an existing conference stronger. That is the only way to shed the dead weight.
