As for next year, don't write it off yet. A lot can happen during the off season, and BYU has a schedule that could produce a special season. I am probably guilty of being too optimistic in most things, but why not hope? I went into this past year with some trepidation, but my Utes came through a tough schedule looking pretty good. Most people said they would lose most of their games, sit home during the bowl season, and fire their head coach.

So much for that!
