Ticket sales?
Yeah all those empty pac 12 stadiums need BYU to fill them up....
Wait no they don't.
Ticket sales are not the issue. TV money is. Everything is TV money and markets. Why the BCS? Why the playoff? Why did the BIG add Rutgers and Maryland? Why did Nebraska, Colorado, Missouri, and TAMU leave the B12? The answer is not Ticket sales. Nobody is doing things that hurt their bottom line. They go where there is more money.
BYU sells tickets. But the only TV market where they make a dent is the Wasatch front the same market Utah gets them. BYU may even get better ratings, but the number of households in the market is the same. They, the P12 network, charge by household whether or not you are watching.
