Aside from being asked to join Auburn as a preferred walk-on, my point was that he turned down, what most would consider better options FOR HIM, to play for BYU. I don't think too many saw him as someone who'd be real game-time contributor. I'm not sure what HIS expectations were either. My point was that he obviously came to BYU because he believed doing so was something special and important to him. I have idea what/if there was something that changed that sentiment. I personally had hoped that he'd prove himself as real contributor, just as so many walk-ons have done at BYU.
