If you make good hires and your assistants are coveted by other programs then that is a sign of success. Like BYU assistants under LaVell. Many are still coaching today in the NFL or college. Not counting those who retired already after successful jobs in college and the NFL.

The fact that no one is offering BYU coaches is a telling point!
