Lol. Is that really what you took from my post?
I am not authoritatively declaring anything. My main point was that none of us have any clue which coaches are pursuing, or being offered, other jobs because we only hear about them when they choose to leave.

I then attempted to explain the logical, rational, and completely factual reason why LDS coaches at both BYU and Utah often don't choose to pursue or be considered for other jobs. Is that where I lost you?

At no point did I say that Doman, Hill, or Howell were offered anything by anyone else.

That said, if you don't think Doman had the chance (had he wanted to) to move to a "bigger" school as a QB coach after sending John Beck and Max Hall to the pro's and BYU winning 43 games between 06-09, you don't inhabit the same reality that I do.

To a lesser extent, had Howell not been promoted (apparently) too soon, he was performing very well as a secondary coach and could have, ostensibly, been able to move on at some point too.

Finally, if you think that Anae, Poppinga and Kaufusi (to name a few), have stuck around at BYU for as long as they have because they are too incompetent to coach anywhere else... I don't know what to say. All are fine coaches with track records of success. That they choose to stay at BYU says very little about their opportunities elsewhere.
