If so then does the WCC stance on whether they allow teams to pay it make a difference? What about the stance of the league Volleyball is in or the other one offs that are in other leagues?

Until we know the answers to some of these questions we just can't assume that BYU as an independent in football can do absolutely anything they want....(we can hope though )...
