I finally cut the cord yesterday...
$80 per month for direcTV was just too much.

I installed a antenna that gets the 5 channels (ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, PBS). I picked up a Tivo and got that up and running. Then I grabbed a Roku to run Byutv, Plex and a few others.

When Dish Network releases Sling TV in a month or so I'll take a look, but I'm not sold yet. ESPN, ESPN2, TNT and TBS would be great but the lack of even limited DVR functionality might be a deal breaker.

Any one else who had gone down this cord cutting path have any tips?
