The NFL needs to fine New England organization the 25 or30 grand the rules say and they need to make a new policy so this never happens again. Time to move on. They brushed the replaygate under the rug too quickly and now they are dragging this one out too long. Spare us the termination of a ball boy, or equipment manager. Anybody with more than 6 braincells knows the equipment manager, ball boy, or whoever they pin this on wasn't acting on their own.
And, like it or not, it is another tarnish to the legacy of the organization. I mean it's not as bad as having a serial killer with known "character issues" on the roster, or getting caught taping pregame walk throughs, but it's not good either.
