I let my mom help me with a history assignment in 8th grade.
It involved writing a report on a the life history of a relative. I was very busy with other classes so my mom helped me with it. She typed a lot of the report and I made the mistake of not even reviewing it. This was in the days of type writers so things were written first by hand and then typed later. I didn't review any of it. I just let my mom do all of that part of it.

I was in honors English and my history teacher was the English teacher for the normal 8th grade English classes.

Well, my mom wrote the whole thing in sentence fragments and I got a terrible grade because of it.
After that day, I never allowed my parents to help me with school work.
