Sometimes you sound like the bitter musician who didn't make it big and is jealous of others success. Why else would you make such a big effort to say how bad their music is at every opportunity?

Dan actually talked about people/bands that run down others art. He said who are we to say what's good music and what isn't, really. If the songs an artist is writing are what is in them to write, that's how they are trying to express their feelings.
In Dan's case, his songs are usually about feelings and thoughts inside him he wishes he knew how to talk about, but instead he writes songs because he can express his thoughts and feelings better that way.
I for one am proud of them for making music true to what's inside them rather than trying to be what the public or industry wants.
