People choose/stay with practitioners based more on their relationship with them than the practitioner's actual competence.

In a wide variety of fields we know this- building relationships is what makes things go. That's why "BRT" is the first thing you learn in the MTC.

Doesn't matter how technically competent you are if you can't do relationships... unless of course you're in the NFL (Belichick!)
