Buck whined when an NFL team invited him to a tryout at the backend
of his pro career, but the NFL team also was trying out a young DLman against him. The young guy got the roster spot. Buck complained about how unfair this was, as if he wasn't 100% aware that every NFL team almost always tries out a couple of guys for a single spot.
That whining soured me on Buck, long before he started blasting BYU and Bronco. Listen to Jim Herrmann and you will hear something very different.
