It's a play on one of my old rants when people complain about a 3-4 front killing a DE's ability to bring glory to himself.
The Buck-Futrell-Knight line was the most dominating defensive unit BYU has ever had. There have been some great sets of linebackers too, but nothing beats what those three did on the line.
I know that BYU's 3-4 today is different from the 3-4 run in the 80s, but a 3-4 doesn't necessarily kill DEs. Buck performed better than any BYU DE I've seen.
