However, the way the offense was going there was still some excitement around here, so you can't put it all on the Utes.

OTOH, the Utes success definitely magnifies the discontent. That is for sure. Some try and pretend that their frustration isn't at all affected by an insecure jealousy of the "BCS Busters" and how the rest of the country views the team. But it is. So I think your point is accurate to that effect.
