it wasn't really about sports. He said he used to mock UVSC and felt slightly ashamed he went there as a student. Now he says he is proud of his alma mater because of the tremendous progress they have made over the last 20 years as an institution. I went to both UVU and BYU and I felt more comfortable at UVU. UVU's student population is made primarily of locals, whereas us locals were a minority at BYU. If they ever get a football team, I could see support grow in Utah County. It would take a long time for them to match the support that BYU gets.
