There comes a point when you already have more than enough power for a half ton
The Tundra reached that point 8 years ago and the others have indeed caught up.

Where the Tundra is most lacking right now is ride quality. The others have upped their games in that regard, while the Tundra still washboards and shutters with the worst of them. Toyota needs to lose some weight, stiffen the frame, and quiet down the engine. A roaring V8 is great if you're a teenager, not so good if you're a businessman trying to make cell calls.

I just ditched my old Ford for a Tundra, and hands down the old Ford had a better ride and handling. That said, almost double the horsepower sure is addicting.

8 years ago Toyota made the entire market take a leap forward. It was great for half ton trucks. I'd hate to see them leave the market.
