"revolves around" is over the top
What Boise State football has accomplished since moving up to D1A in 1996 is nothing less than phenomenal. We're a firmly entrenched Top 25 program. While not afforded the opportunity to compete for the big prize, we're certainly not a "bubble" about to pop at any moment. Anyone who claims otherwise has their head in the sand, and is willfully ignorant of the past 15 years of history in the sport. We've been written off as a "flash in the pan" program many, many times before. But as star players graduate or leave for the NFL, and coaches move on to supposedly "greener" pastures (definitely greener fields), one thing remains constant: the Broncos continue to field teams that can compete on the biggest stages. So yeah, Boise residents are pretty darn happy with the state of college football, all things considered, and the future remains very, very bright for the blue and orange.

Other than when we square off on the field, I don't understand how some Cougar fans are so threatened by the success of Boise State. We may target the same players on the recruiting trail on occasion, but BYU gets more than its fair share. It's not like Coach Harsin is trying to take away your national championship trophy, '80.
