of pointing out the flaws in my base thinking. It's the insurance companies, uncontrollable malpractice suits, medical providers, etc. Obamacare, or the Affordable Care Act did nothing to resolve ANY of those. They mandated a cheaper form of insurance be available, focused on the area you live (for instance, Utah County), and then uses the wealthiest Americans to subsidize it. Not only that, but they are paying a portion, extra tax you could say, and the recipient of the subsidy will not receive a tax refund. It really caused everything to become more expensive overall, it's just the people that benefit from it don't really see or understand that.
