We tend to think of Carlino vs. Fischer when evaluating the effect of Carlino not being on the team this year. And, sure, that is true to a point, but really Carlino being gone has meant more minutes for Winder at least as much as it meant minutes (and shots) for Fischer.
As an aside, if Carlino had stayed, I'm not sure Collinsworth would have gotten even one triple-double this year (because some of those assists would have been Carlino's). So obviously KC has also benefited from the transfer.
Anyway, I love watching Winder play. He has really taken advantage of the opportunity that he has been given this year. It was scary seeing him out with a knee injury--I'm glad he's been able to overcome that (it looks like he is at least recovered enough that he can still do the things we count on him for).
