Eight- and nine-man rotations are, I believe, the most common across all of football, in college and the NFL. I find your question to be a weird one: of course it's better to have 10 guys who are good than 8 guys who are. But teams don't really need more than 8 for a given season, and it would do more harm than good to force a guy who isn't ready into games because you feel some compulsion to have a full two-deep.
Nwigwe and Jimenez are both listed at 6'4" in their recruiting profiles, so I wouldn't be surprised if they were really around 6'3". They aren't as slim as Hoyt would be at 6'7" 268, as 265 is a better weight for 6'3" or 6'4" than it is for 6'7". They've also been playing football for the past two years rather than on a full-time mission, so they don't have to worry about working mission rust off.
I merely listed them before Hoyt by coincidence; that list wasn't supposed to be in order of likelihood. I don't think either of them will play tackle long-term; I think they're both going to be guards. But if we have a few injury issues on the outside, the coaches will be scrambling to see who they can put out there, and I'm sure they'll all get a look.
