From what perspective?

Our basketball team is playing in a conference that no one cares about outside of Spokane (and maybe the hamlet of Moraga, CA).

Our head coach and AD are all but groveling for a chance to join a P5 conference, and seem to infer that independence is not a competitive long-term solution.

The difference in pay between P5 and us has gone from mid-seven figures to eight figures.

We had a contract last year with the Miami Beach Bowl and as of now, we no official contract in place for any bowl.

The playoff committee puts significant weight on winning your conference and we have no conference.

The difficult games on our schedule are almost always on the road.

Above all, on the football field, we have fallen into a rut that is somewhere between mediocre and half decent--but nowhere near as successful as we have been in prior seasons.

Attendance is down.

And you really believe we are in the best position ever?
