DHCP 192.168 vs 10.61
Hi

I have a linksys wireless router, and when we first installed it, it assigned all addresses as 192.168.xxx.xxx. I was just checking something today (trying to back up a computer to our NAS) and noticed that now all the addresses are 10.61.xxx.xxx.

I think that 192.168 is a range reserved for private home networks, so that made sense before. Is 10.61.xxx.xxx also for home networks?

And what happened? I had to reboot the modem (separate Netgear modem) recently ... but that isn't supposed to be the DCHP server, the Linksys router is.

Everything seems to working fine, and all the devices in the house have connectivity, so maybe I shouldn't care .... but I'm wondering what happened?

When I go into the Linksys control pages, I can't choose those first two numbers for the DHCP range ... so something changed that I don't think I can control.

Do I have a bigger problem, or what could have done this?
