It didn't have the sort of drama, ramped up excitement leading up to the finale as the first two seasons. The character arcs, particularly Claire's were muddy and relied too much on silences rather than action or dialog. Too much time was spent on Stamper's story (even though his character was probably the most interesting this season.) I think they really missed out on showing more of Dunbar and focusing in on the situation in Iowa and the primary race instead of skipping the most interesting moments and leaving it to the imagination (particularly in the finale). Ultimately, it felt like a half season.
