reasons, one of which was to create a bridge to BYU should they ever HAVE to expand and add BYU. As unlikely as it seems, I still think the most likely conference for BYU of the P5s is the PAC 12, and I think it will be if the PAC 12 feels the need to expand and Texas and company stay east. Not sure if it will ever happen, but it wouldn't surprise me in the least, especially if it were for football only.
