Coaches think about the next game. They think about metering emotions.
That's a pretty wise thought for a guy who is responsible for trying to make sure his team doesn't get too high after a big game, doesn't stay up so late that their circadian rhythm is out of wack, is concerned with the effect it will have on their academics etc.

Coaches have to be the adults in the room. It's a fine line and in the end the fans got their love...but there is nothing wrong with a coach having concerns about the way it's going to impact the team.
