Christian Stewart to Play Quarterback for BYU in Spring Football
Christian Stewart has agreed, at the coaches request, to come back to BYU for spring football and play QB. Obviously Stewart isn't eligible to play next season since he has no more eligibility, but he will QB the offense this spring so that BYU can develop its team and take advantage of the practice time. This will help both the offense and defense. Stewart has had a great impact on BYU football and it appears he will continue to positively effect the team this upcoming season. Both Taysom and Mcoy are injured and with Mangum coming back in a couple of months, and Hoge not yet enrolled, this seems to be the best opportunity to simulate the type of talent that the defense will be seeing in the fall, and also the best way to develop the receivers by having an absolute gun slinger throwing them the ball.

The coaches lost some Quarterbacks the last few years and decided not to recruit other Quarterbacks to replace them knowing that the cupboards will be full in the near future. Bringing a former QB back is a novel approach, but the coaches are definitely willing to do what it takes to help the team improve.

More info to drop, when the time is right.
