It's just different than Disneyland, which isn't a bad thing, especially if you want your kids to have multiple experiences in their youth. We took our kids to San Diego when they were young and they loved Sea World. They still talk about that trip. We also went to Old Town and had dinner at a really good Mexican restaurant. We stopped off briefly at the Church's visitor center. Their upgrades are pretty sweet. Just don't spend too long there because the younger kids will get bored.
