I like Pope, but I agree with this criticism

I have heard for years that he is a great big man coach. Why then haven't they improved much? It seems like we have talent, but haven't had a good big man since Davies (other than Mika). So is it a coaching fail, or a learning fail? I can accept that he is a good coach, I just don't understand the lack of production in that department.
