I don't know how the whole string of this conversation went but I'm pretty sure nobody was advocating for Taysom to become afraid to run.
I think Christian Stewart showed that if your #1 goal post-snap is to throw the ball downfield and you only run as an absolute last option then even if you don't see any open receivers right after the snap it doesn't mean they won't be open a few seconds later if you're patient and let it develop.
I think it will be hard for Taysom to override years of instinct.
