I know that timing of players coming out of the pipeline isn't something that can always be controlled, and it is doubly difficult for BYU with missions, but I don't know how any player can come straight out of HS or off a mission and be ready for DI football.

I don't know about TM's situation. I've heard that sometimes the Mission Pres. makes special exceptions for scholarship athletes during their entire mission, or during the last few months (allowing them to extend their physical exercise times or whatever). I don't know if TM can shake off the rust that fast. However, my hopes wouldn't be high considering he is fighting two disadvantages---inexperience and being two years removed from any meaningful experience.
