I attended 2007-2009 and in 2011. Such good times. Show up on Thursday morning, and just binge-watch all 4 games. Except for the UNLV game, the arena was usually 3/4 full so my buddies and I would just pick the team we wanted to win and go sit with their fans. I always enjoyed Wyoming fans the best, though their cheerleaders/dancers often fell in the bottom half of our rankings. The games were highly entertaining and you would see fans in every color out at night. The semis were usually raucous, especially if you could get BYU, New Mexico and UNLV all there. In 2011, for SDSU v. UNLV/Jimmer v. New Mexico, lots of naive BYU fans tried to drive down on Friday afternoon but scalpers were selling nosebleeds for $200+. It was the last tourney before the conference broke up and the atmosphere was spectacular. SDSU beat the Rebs at the buzzer in a great game and then Jimmer had his legendary performance against the Lobos, who always brought the most fans for some reason. An amazing night. I'd love to drive down for a WCC Tourney some day, but the whole Monday/Tuesday thing combined with kids, a real job, and my college buddies scattered across the country, probably mean that those days aren't coming back.
