While I get that a lot of BYU fans live out of state... the fact is, the program has lost it's mojo... it's edge... it's not cool to be a BYU fan, it's not an exciting brand of football anymore and it hasn't accomplished much of anything since 1996... and the lack of talent in the NFL and what contributes on Sunday is a big big factor.

Utah on the other hand has had 2 undefeated seasons, 1 sugar bowl win over Alabama, 1 fiesta bowl win, multiple NFL draft picks with their players making considerable contributions on Sundays... and are now in the PAC. All this has been accomplished in a very short time frame. BYU hasn't came even remotely close to matching this in almost 20 years now. That's a problem.
