Yellowstone County had high SO2 levels at one time. One of the coal facilities will close soon because of the mercury levels released into the atmosphere. Multiple refineries in town. Beautiful up near Red Lodge....but too far to commute. After spending 17 years in Yellowstone County, I would not live in Billings. Conaco and Exxon and others just pollute to much.
