places like Olympia, Vergina, Thessaloniki, and Delphi are well worth the time.
Istanbul is also very interesting. I was there last June. Parts of the city are very cosmopolitan and safe some sections are very middle eastern and I really stood out as the only guy wearing khakis and a button- down shirt and no beard. I never felt threatened though, even in those places.
