it's apparent he's pretty free to voice his opinions about players (maybe not coaches or organization). I like listening to him when he talks Jazz and NBA, where he has some genuine insight, but don't find him quite as interesting when talking about other stuff where he comes across as more opinionated than knowledgeable.
