Why do so many from both sides fall into the trap of constantly comparing?
What was it that president Benson said about how pride gets no satisfaction from being rich, good looking or smart, but in being richer, better looking, and smarter than someone else?

BYU and Utah don't really compete that much anymore in basketball. They don't compete in the same league, they play each other once out of conference in a game that should help both team's RPI going forward now that Utah isn't awful, and they rarely go head to head hard after the same recruits. Of course Utah will offer the good Lone Peak kids, but they were never a threat. The last kid where I think both schools were seriously considered to the end was Loveridge, that was four years ago and he hasn't exactly been a program changer. This year he was Utahs fourth best player while being injured 1/3rd of the year, and he probably would have been BYU's fourth best player.

As much as I try, I can't find myself hating BYUs basketball program. Rose is a great guy who does things the right way, and I can't make one complaint about him as a person. I'm not sure if he is a better coach than Larry, (he is certainly a better offensive coach), but I don't really care because I genuinely wish him the best.

Don't fall into the Utah media sports radio trick of drumming up false hate and competition to boost ratings where none needs to exist.

Now Bronco on the other hand....
