There are two camps...
P5 and G5.
BYU isn't a G5 but stands as an Indy team, just like Army, Navy
BYU isn't in a P5 conference YET, so as an Indy they would like to schedule any and all P5 teams.
Why? Because in the long run CFP committee will give BYU more of chance for NY6, FF placement than a G5 team from the MWC, etc.
SEC, ACC, Pac12, b10 will schedule BYU and for good reason, as it gives those P5 conferences a P5 like game. CFP will continue to punish the B12 and G5 teams for not playing up and not having a CGC....Win win for BYU as an Indy.
