Allow me to brag a bit: In training for my half marathon, I'm down 25 pounds
And I just completed my 8-mile training run today, probably the longest single run distance I've done in my life. I started "training" in mid January, where I couldn't even jog for 15 minutes without having to stop and walk. I haven't been in this good of shape in several years--what took me so long to buckle down and get an exercise routine down?

Of course, keeping it up long term will be the real test.
